As y'all know, I did a bit of painting last weekend. I swear I am still recovering!!!! Hubby and I made a pact, a marriage saving pact, to never paint together. We did it a few times in our last house and I'll leave you with this equation: j hates painting + b hates painting + together = lots & lots of bickering. Sooooo... :) ...with that said, I painted all by myself this weekend! I am actually really proud of myself because I never thought I'd be able to paint an entire room by myself. Y'all - it is not easy!! Saturday I started at 6pm and didn't stop until all the walls and trim were painted with 2 coats, that was around midnight. I had to go over a few more spots on Sunday and boy am I sore. I didn't even know I had muscles in some of these places!
ANYWAY, I digress.
What did I paint?!?! Madi's playroom!!!!! Here is the before:
Progress...
I used Valspar Lily Pond and I LOVE the color. It is perfect.
After:
So far the only thing on the wall is a picture Madison drew on a canvas. I love it! I have some shelves I bought from Ikea that I am going to spray paint white and hang. My step-sister is going to paint a mural of some animals on the large wall. I can't wait! I am very happy with how this turned out. Madi also has a table and chairs, also from Ikea, that are going in the room. We want to buy a chair for us to put in there as well. I haven't found one I like yet but just started looking.
Hope y'all like her playroom! I know we do! :)

love the color! looks great. :)
I love the color! I wanted to do green in the alcove, but Patrick refused..... Just like I refused burgundy for the living room. The alcove is Imperial Purple and Brilliant Blue and we are doing the living room in a color called Adolescence. It's a slate grey, and I adore it!
Great job!
THe green looks so great in her room!
