I want to have hair on my bottom!

I’m bringing Toddler Talk Tuesday back!!

I have some good ones today and this time I’m including some from Addi too!

(This was back in December) Madi & I were out to eat with my dad. He had carrots on his plate and told Madi that carrots make you turn orange if you eat a lot of them. He also had rice on his plate. Madi looked at it and asked “Does rice make you be a Chinese person?”

Oh we were rolling. Absolutely crying from laughing so hard. I blame Kai Lan for her connection of rice and Chinese people.

I was giving Addi a bath last time she was with us and I stepped out for a second to get a wash cloth. She yelled “I DON’T NEED PRIVACY!!!! Come back!! I don’t need privacy!!!” I thought that was so funny!!

I don’t remember what I did but Madi said to me, “Mommy, you’re scaring the freaks out of me!”

And my favorite – Paul asked Addison what she wanted to be when she grows up. Her response: “I want to have hair on my bottom!” HAHAHAHA!! Oh we were laughing so hard!! Still cracks me up!!

What funny things do your kids say???

A Pink & Black Weekend!

I would give anything to not have to work this coming week. Anything. Except my paycheck. I need that. Unless of course Paul wins the lottery on Tuesday. I would play, but truthfully, I haven't a clue how to do it. Sad, isn't it?

This weekend was so much fun - so many fun memories created! I'm exhausted though. Two little girls to chase after will do that to you but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Saturday, we celebrated Addi's third birthday with Paul's family and friends. His sister gave Addison the prettiest and cutest birthday party. She really did an awesome job. Addison absolutely loves Minnie Mouse so Mary Alice (Paul's sister) used that as the theme. The girls loved their Minnie Mouse ears!

Mary Alice had a local wild life place bring some animals for the kids to learn about and pet. It was a big hit! They got to see a tortoise, a baby alligator, a chinchilla, and a parrot. The parrot was the favorite!

Addi blew out her candle while we sang happy birthday. I caught that one, but not the second one!

I love the girls' faces in this picture. They are both kind of like "really"?!

Addi had a wonderful time with her daddy, aunts & uncles, Nana and friends! I'm so glad Madi and I were able to be there to help celebrate!

The rest of the weekend was really fun too. The girls played constantly and got along wonderfully. It was great! They played dog all weekend - Madi is the dog and Addi is the owner.

Paul and I were able to spend some time together in quiet when the girls crashed Saturday night. They were WORN OUT!! But I'll be honest - we were too. We laid on the couch and watched Game Show Network. Ha, shows just how old we are!

So there's the weekend recap. Here's to facing Monday… bleh.

EdVenture Excitement!

Wow! This is my 500th blog post! What on earth did I write about 499 times??

Seriously though, I am sure 498 of those posts were silliness. This one will be no different.

It's Wednesday and I am just now getting around to recapping my weekend. Shameful.

Paul & his sweet daughter Addison came to town. I was able to get Madi on Saturday (it was Justin's weekend) so we could take the girls to EdVenture. It was a rainy day so an indoor activity was a must!

I posted about the children's museum before, when I wasn't very pleased with it. [I tried to find the post, but searching through 499 posts is not something I can do. I didn't label it so it's not being found.] Anyway, I wasn't pleased with EdVenture last time we went but they have really revamped the place and I approve now!

So, Paul, the girls, Paul's mom, sister & her husband, and me all went to EdVenture. It was a blast! The girls had so much fun playing with all the different set-ups. They had a veterinary hospital, a grocery store, a restaurant, a construction site, a fire truck, and so many other exhibits. I think the vet & the grocery store were the favorite!

There is also a really huge "kid" with a playground inside of him. Madi is always too scared to climb up to the brain but always wishes she did when we leave! I thought for sure the girls wouldn't want to leave the playground/kid so we saved that for last. Addison didn't really enjoy it and Madi only did after I convinced her to go down the slide. I think the kid being so big was just a bit intimidating!

After EdVenture we all went to Mellow Mushroom for lunch. They have such good pizza!! Addison & Madison (tongue twister!) had fun drawing and being silly.

The day was a big hit! I can't wait to get the girls together again!

What's your favorite rainy day activity to do with kids?
