is way too early to be awake on a Sunday. However, when you have a sweet sweet face like this:

how can you resist?

Yes, we got a puppy! I know I said NO MORE DOGS after we gave Lucy away but what kind of mommy would I be if I denied my daughter of siblings and a pet? Exactly.

At first, I thought I wanted a Shih Tzu. Boy was I mistaken. My aunt has one and he is a year old. He's also the only Shih Tzu I've ever seen in person so I thought they were all like him. That is not the case. Shih Tzu's are not very cute when they grow up. This seems very vain but why else do people get dogs? Seriously. You wouldn't buy an ugly dog would you?

So, my husband had the idea to wander over to PetSmart and check out the rescue dogs. We found the gorgeous puppy above and fell in love. He is a 10 week old Black Lab/Weimaraner mix. (I totally googled the spelling btw) Huge difference from a Shih Tzu obviously. But, the husband just got that truck and we have a big backyard (soon-to-be fenced) so why not get a big dog? Plus, and I know Jill is going to hate me for this, big dogs are just more fun.

His name was Wags, but come on, that's lame. I re-named him Moose, in remembrance of our time in Alaska.

This is what Moose likes to do:

You thought I was going to add more pictures didn't you? Nope, that's it. At least so far. He's only been home for about 12 hours so maybe I will add more things to the list later. I sure hope so!

Madi absolutely adores him too. She likes to lay on his bed with him.

I think they will be best friends in no time!
