Manic Birthday Monday

Today was a special Manic Monday - it is my birthday! It was spent a bit different than I expected, because my baby girl is sick but I still had a great day!  Madi is starting to feel much better and we had a lot of fun mommy/daughter time today.

I painted our toenails! It's amazing to me that she will sit still for this. She has been doing that since she was about 6 months old. She is all girl!!

I took Madi to the doctor this morning and then this afternoon she watched way too much of The Wonder Pets (see previous rant post). This evening my mom came over to give me some presents and my cousin, Morgan came over to watch The Bachelorette! She also brought me flowers and a very special gift. She got me a "Mother's Keepsake" journal to fill out and give to Madi when she is older. It was the perfect gift!

The mailbox even held some birthday surprises today! I ordered a book about two weeks ago and it finally arrived today! I was so excited, especially since I'll be home with Madi again tomorrow and will welcome anything to distract me from the TV! Also, my bff Jill (yes I have one, aren't you jealous I get to say that?) sent me a cute card and gorgeous earrings from an Etsy store featured on a blog I read. She's so thoughtful!

Hubs' present will be here on Friday. We went together to Hand Picked to pick it out. But, the best gift wasn't presents at all, it was of course being at home laughing and dancing with my favorite people. I had a fantastic birthday!!

**I wrote this last night and then I couldn't get my pictures to load. I thought giving my computer a break would help, but it still won't work. I had them all together in a cute layout too! Grrr. Oh well, here's to the old fashioned way...*
