We had a great weekend. Friday night we hung out at home because we had an early start on Saturday. Saturday morning we picked up Justin's mom & Madi's cousin and drove to Georgia to visit Justin's grandparents. This was the first time Madi got to see them and they of course just ate her up! Madi actually gave her great-grandma a hug and a kiss which is HUGE! She usually will not get near people she has never met before. She really liked her. She liked her great-grandpa too!
The Chattahoochee river is in their backyard so we took the kids down to play in the river. It was really fun! Justin "taught" Madi how to skip rocks. This was the same place he taught me the first time we came here, way before we had M!
Totally a Southern girl: Wearing pearls while gettin' dirty! (that's mud on her face)
Justin's grandparents just so happen to live about 10 minutes away from Baby Land General Hospital - the Cabbage Patch Doll "hospital" aka a little girl's dream! All the girls & our nephew went to check out the place. It was GORGEOUS and super, super cute. I so wish they had places like this when I was kid! Another plus - free admission!
This is a photo from the website, it actually looked pretty when we were there. They had big pots of bright red flowers on the porches. So pretty.
The entrance is set-up just like a hospital. You sign in at the front desk and are greeted by the hospital staff. From there you are free to tour the hospital on your own. You can visit the newborns, the nurseries, and the bigger "kids."
So, so cute!
The newborns
The cute/creepy cabbage patch.
Tea party with Cabbage Patch friends!
She LOVED it! She did not want to leave!
Her super sweet great-grandma bought her a really cute newborn Cabbage Patch doll that she loves. She picked one that had a paci of course! She also got a bottle & a blanket for the baby from her grandma! They definitely spoil her! :)
We had a great weekend. I'm so glad that we finally made it up to visit them. It was really fun and we can't wait to go back again soon!

Aww.. I forgot about there being a Cabbage patch kids hospital in Georgia.. Wonder if A is too big now?
I sooo want to go the Cabbage Patch hospital...how far is it to drive to Georgia from Canada I wonder???
My Maddy does the same thing...she gets all shy around her great-grandparents and they ask for kisses and hugs and she gets all shy and i feel sooo bad because she's their only great grandchild - they have learned though, to leave her alone and don't ask and she comes out of her shell eventually!
OMG how precious!
Please post potty training tips!!
