It's been a couple of weeks since I last linked up. I kind of got away from reading for a bit but now I'm back into it! This past week I finished Keeper of the Light by Diane Chamberlain. Yes, another Chamberlain book!! I'm addicted and want to read all of her books!!
Really short synopsis from Goodreads:
Midway through emergency surgery, Olivia Simon learns that her patient is Annie O'Neill, the woman with whom her husband has been having an affair.
This is really only the tip of the iceberg with this book. The aftermath of the ER visit is really an overwhelming story!!
It took me a few chapters to get into this book, which is unusual for Chamberlain books. Once I got into it though I was hooked. I realized something while reading this - if I don't like the characters it doesn't mean it's not a good book - the opposite in fact. Chamberlain does such a great job of depicting her characters and really making them seem like real people. I got mad at some of the people, didn't like others, and wanted to hang out with some. I really enjoyed reading this book and am very excited that it's a trilogy! That was a surprise to me. I am bummed though that the next two books are not ebooks. Kiss River, the next one, is being rereleased in November though so I'm hoping they will release an ebook too. The third book is Her Mother's Shadow.
Read this book!!! It's full of secrets and will totally shock you at the end! Love those kinds of books!!
