WHY? Why do we do this? Why do we tell them knowing that they won't be excited or happy for us? I'll tell you why. We tell them because we hope that just this once they will be happy and they will share our excitement with us. But each and every time they fail us. They bring us down and take away our good mood.
Maybe I am alone in this. Maybe everyone doesn't have this person in their lives, but I assume I'm not the only one. Well you know what, I'm not going to give up. I'm going to keep hoping that one day this person becomes happy enough with her life that she is capable of being happy for others. Possibly, one day, we can then share excitement together. Until then, I will try my hardest not to let her bring me down and I'm still going to BE HAPPY.

I definitely have people like that in my life. This is why I don't bother in telling people every detail anymore.
You are not the only one! I think everybody has somebody like that. Sad that it's like that though!
YES! I have a cousin that is such a Debbie Downer and always finds the negative in everything.
I agree with you and everyone's comments! I have someone in my life who always is negative and has to find ways to make everything about them when you're happy! It drives me nuts!
I def have people like that. I try to ignore them. They just arent worth the time ya know?
