Happy Labor Day!

So sad that the long weekend is over. :( We really had an awesome one!

Saturday we didn't do much of anything, which is always nice! Sunday was a big day for us. Justin & I got baptized at Newspring Church! We have both been baptized before but mine was when I was eight and his was just not a good memory. It was really amazing to experience something so important with each other. My cousin Morgan, my step-dad, and Justin's dad came to church to support us & celebrate with us. It was a great day!

Today, Labor Day, we labored a bit by shopping! We took a little road trip to Charlotte, NC just to go to Ikea! Have y'all been there before? If you have then you understand why this was worth the 1.5 hour trip. I am in love with one of our purchases. Madi's toys have been in a huge basket behind our recliner in the living room and basically it was just a big eye sore. Wellll Ikea just so happens to have incredible storage options and this is what we found:

The pink and green just make me smile! I love it!! We also got Madi a little bed for her babies. I can't wait to get my hands on some paint to spruce it up with a monogram! :)

For those of you who haven't been to Ikea, you should know-the best thing about Ikea are the prices. Everything is really affordable. The baby bed was only $20. Compare that to an American Girl Doll bed and we got a steal!

Madi really lucked out on this trip. The bathroom shelving I wanted was too big to fit in my car so we are going to have to go back another day (oh darn!) with Justin's truck.

Now we are home and tired from traveling, but really enjoying an "eye-sore free" living room!  I hope y'all had a great Labor Day!

Congratulations on your baptism and that you got to share it with your husband! I'm a bit IKEA obsessed, who wouldn't be when you can get cute stuff for great prices? I hope you had a lovely long weekend!

Ikea is just amazing. Mine is 20 minutes away so I can get in a little bit of trouble going there ;-)

Love the organizer you bought!

Congrats on being baptized again.

Enjoy your week :)

Ikea is awesome. I have one 10 minutes from my house. :)

I love the little doll bed. Post some pictures after you are done "sprucing" it up. How fun.

Congratulations on your baptism. I'm sure it was wonderful to experience it together.
