Hello, happy beginning!

I am officially DIVORCED!!! Going on 10 days since the official hearing. To say I was/am excited is an understatement! I've been waiting on that day to come so I can move on with my new life!!!

Court went smoothly. I was divorced in a matter of 15 minutes and a few "yes" & "no's."

Paul and I weren't able to celebrate together that weekend because he had already committed to a guys weekend in Outer Banks. I figure we will be celebrating constantly anyway since we can now officially be as we wish!

The day after the divorce was final Carrie & I went to Six Flags. Yes, I'm 29 years old, newly divorced and wanted to go to an amusement park. HA! Carrie & I are both huge roller coaster fanatics and sadly the only theme park we'd ever been to was Carowinds. So, we headed to Georgia and had some fun!

Unfortunately we only rode 3 roller coasters while we were there. The lines were insanely long and we didn't know our way around the park at all. I think we walked in about 10 circles just trying to find something to ride. We did lots of people watching, eating, shopping, and screaming!

It was a very fun day and a great weekend! This past weekend was pretty amazing too. I went to Virginia to spend time with Paul. It was a nice, much needed weekend with just the two of us.  :)

This weekend I have Madi. I'm trying to plan something fun/different for us to do together. Any suggestions?

So glad you are finally able to move on! I asked my husband for a divorce in January and we have been trying to work it out but tonight actually we officially called it quits. I can't do anything until August (California law is you have to live in the state 6 months before you can file for divorce) but I am just glad we officially decided. I am sure I will feel relieved too once everything is done!

I'm glad you're moving on. I hope you take that event as a stepping stone to a new journey that will hopefully end differently. It seems like you really enjoyed your weekend and your trip to Six Flags. I hope more joyful moments like that come for you, now that things are finally going smoothly. Good luck and all the best! :)
